Be part of a one-of-its-kind educational summer holiday camp that will help your youth gain more confidence in the various components of communication! 

Developed by MPA and conducted by trained professionals in the respective fields, participants will also be presented with opportunities to bond, discover and learn through fun and stimulating activities. He/She will also be constantly tasked to think critically and creatively – a necessary skill to develop in today’s world.

This intensive 5 full day camp will focus on teaching the different aspects of English communication (verbal, non-verbal, written and visual) through these three main workshops: 

  • Stories of Singapore
    In this reading and writing workshop, participants will explore well-known fiction by local writers and hone their English reading and writing comprehension skills, expand vocabulary and develop confidence in grammar. They will also get to explore what makes good literature and apply these techniques to their own writing.

  • Shark Tank
    From written to verbal- Participants will learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and pitch their ideas in front of a panel of local and established entrepreneurs. This will be a great opportunity for them to learn basic presentation skills and important foundational skills in starting a business while getting a flavour of the start-up culture in Singapore.

  • Photography Club
    Lastly, to understand the power of visual communication, participants will shoot a variety of modern and historical architecture, people and cityscapes around Singapore. While doing so, they will develop a better understanding about how visuals alone can deliver impactful messages.

Finally, what is a camp without some fun and games? Participants will be given a chance to interact and further hone their communication skills (problem solving, listening, empathy, verbalisation and developing relationships in a team) through a series of team bonding exercises and challenges at a location (which we are keeping under wraps for now).
