PSLE Preparatory Programme

for 11 & 12yrs old

Prepare for the PSLE Chinese language examinations and strengthen the skills required in all three papers:

  1. Paper 1(写作) Chinese composition writing (20%),
  2. Paper 2(语文应用和阅读理解) language use (45%)
  3. Paper 3(口试和听力理解) oral and listening skills (35%).

In this Chinese PSLE tuition class, students will take part in topic and picture discussion, increase vocabulary, revise using previous examination papers and participate in a range of activities that develop creative writing skills. They will also pick up specific techniques to help them answer challenging comprehension questions effectively with confidence.

For 11 & 12yr olds
Wed, 6-8pm/ Sun, 4.30 – 6.30pm

About Ms Sun

Ms. Sun graduated from East China University with a Bachelor of Arts in the Chinese language. She has more than 26 years of experience in teaching and writing course notes, and in 2003, founded Chinese Student World. Under her coaching, her students attained 100% passes in their PSLE and O-Level Chinese. 97% obtained an A/ A* in their PSLE while 91% achieved an A1/A2 in their O-Levels. With a commitment and passion for teaching, Ms. Sun is an MOE registered teacher and is currently an adjunct Chinese language teacher at local Secondary school. Ms. Sun is confident that all her students will benefit from her guidance and their specific learning needs in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Terms and Conditions

The following fees are to be paid upon registration:

  1. Registration fee: $50 (nett, non-refundable)
  2. Deposit fee: $100 (refundable subject to withdrawal and refund policy below)
  3. Material fee (per term): $50 (nett, non-refundable)
  4. Programme fee will be prorated only for new students joining after the beginning of the term.
  5. All fees paid are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be pro-rated.

Withdrawal and refund policy

  1. Course fees are non-refundable, and withdrawal is only allowed at the end the term.
  2. A one month’s notice must be given, and the withdrawal notice must be submitted at least 4 weeks from the last lesson of the term.
  3. The deposit fee of $100 will be refunded if the withdrawal notice is received at least 4 weeks before the last lesson of the term.

Make-Up class

  1. Absentee may arrange for a make-up lesson within the same week. This is subject to availability in the other classes.
  2. There will be no one-to-one make-up lessons.
  3. No refund will be made if the make-up lesson cannot be arranged within the same week. Absentee may collect the worksheet assigned by the teacher for the missed lesson.

Intellectual Property

  1. Only one set of worksheets and materials will be given to each student.
  2. Replacement of loss or damaged materials is subject to MPA’s sole discretion. Frequent requests for replacement of lost or damaged materials will not be entertained.
  3. The school shall have the right to publish, display or use any students’ work as it deems fit.

Termination

  1. MPA reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrolment if you or your child/ward:
    1. Misbehaves or in any way, repeatedly interrupts the conduct of the class(es).
    2. Infringes the school’s trademark or copyright in the worksheets and materials (if any).
    3. Fail to make full payment of any fees by the due date.

Others

  1. Ensure the timely pick-up of your child/ward. MPA will not be responsible and able to look after your child/ward after the classes and will not be held responsible for your child/ward’s safety when lessons are over.
  2. Children will not be allowed to use the other spaces (including playspaces) within the MPA compound before and after the programme.
  3. MPA reserves the right to change its timetable, teachers, class format and venue according to its curriculum and circumstances.
